Big 5 Global 2026: Our Interior Materials Visit Agenda

During our planned visit to Big 5 Global 2026, Zhide will focus on how buyers communicate interior-material requirements and move from design references to clear sourcing discussions. Our Dubai trip is planned for 21-26 November 2026. The organiser lists the exhibition for 23-26 November at Dubai World Trade Centre. Zhide will visit without an exhibition stand.

This is our agenda before the trip, not a report of trends already observed at the exhibition. The organiser highlights supply chains, technology, sustainability and workforce development across the wider event. Our own focus is narrower: what those conversations mean for veneer, plywood and decorative-paper enquiries.

Three areas for our material discussions

AreaWhat we plan to exploreUseful reference to share
Decorative paperHow buyers communicate design, colour and surface expectationsCatalogue, page, design code and physical sample reference
Wood veneerHow appearance is recorded and agreed between buyer and supplierSpecies, sheet specification and dated sample photographs
PlywoodHow a project requirement becomes a comparable material enquiryPanel construction, dimensions, intended use and required documentation

Decorative paper: connect the design to a usable reference

For decorative-paper conversations, we want to understand how buyers select a design and communicate it to their panel or furniture supply chain. A colour name or cropped phone photograph can leave too much room for interpretation. Recording the catalogue and code makes it easier to identify the starting reference and discuss the next sample step.

Our catalogue centre provides a design book covering stone, wood-look and fabric references. It can help prepare a conversation before Dubai. The final colour, texture and supply specification should be agreed with an appropriate physical sample and an order-specific offer; printed patterns and natural wood veneer remain different material categories.

The application concepts below are inspired by colour and pattern references in our design catalogue. They illustrate design ideas, not completed Zhide projects or Big 5 Global photographs. Confirm colour, texture and finish with physical samples.

Veneer: make appearance discussions easier to follow

For veneer enquiries, our interest is in how buyers describe acceptable appearance and keep the approved reference connected to the proposed order. A full-sheet view, a closer surface image and a dated reference can answer different questions. None of them should silently become a measurement or an agreed grade definition.

We would like to hear which appearance details matter in the buyer's application and what evidence is useful before sampling. Buyers can bring their existing reference and indicate which points remain open. The current Mozambique eucalyptus veneer page provides a separate product starting point; any proposed specifications and commercial terms still need confirmation.

Plywood: start with the intended application

In plywood discussions, we plan to ask how the panel will be used and which requirements the buyer needs to verify. Construction, face requirements, dimensions and documentation should be stated clearly enough to compare offers on the same basis. A photograph of a sheet or stack cannot answer every one of those questions.

If a project needs particular test results, bonding or emission documentation, please identify the relevant requirement when contacting us. Such requirements must be checked for the actual offered product; this visit announcement does not make a new certification, performance or suitability claim.

Use the visit to define the next step

A useful discussion should end with an agreed next action: identify a design, clarify a specification, review a sample or exchange the documents needed for a quotation. Availability, sample arrangements, pricing, delivery and other terms will be discussed for the particular enquiry rather than assumed from the visit.
